Top Ten Books At The Top Of My Summer TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

1. Fair Coin by E. C. Meyers
Mostly because Christina recommended it, and I'm on a major sci-fi kick this year.

2. Right of Way by Lauren Barnholdt
I really enjoyed Two-Way Street when I read it last year on a whim, and I'm looking forward to reading another great summer contemporary!

3. Viral Nation by Shaunta Grimes
I received this one as part of a blog tour, and I'm really looking forward to reading it. I have an autistic sibling, so I'm hoping that the autistic character in this book will be portrayed well.

4. The Distance Between Us by Kasie West
I think this speaks for itself. I adored Pivot Point, and have decided that I will continue to buy anything that Kasie writes. She is AWESOME. I can't wait to see what she does with this contemporary.

5. Fire with Fire by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian
I was pleasantly surprised by Burn for Burn, the first book in this trilogy, and now I can't wait to get stuck into this one. I have a few questions that I want answered!

6. Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler
I've never read anything by Ockler before, but I've heard amazing things. I thought I would start with this one since it's her most talked about book.

7. A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin
I still need to finish A Storm of Swords Part 2, but once that's finished I'm going to dive right into AFFC. Gimme more Lannisters!

8. Flirting in Italian by Lauren Henderson
Because I'm obsessed with Rome, albeit I'm more interested in Ancient Rome, I thought I'd pick this one up. Yay for cute contemporaries!

9. The Summer of Skinny Dipping by Amanda Howells
I've had my eye on this one forever. I just want a nice contemporary, and I think this is going to deliver. Also, did you know there is going to be a sequel at some point?

10. Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
I read Second Chance Summer last year, and I rated it as All Time Favourite. It was a beautiful read. So I've been saving this one for this summer, in the hopes that it's going to be amazing as well. *crosses fingers*

What are your top ten reads for this summer? Are they going to be mostly contemporary novels? Let me know in the comments! And feel free to leave your links below and I'll visit your posts when I have the time.

There's so many I haven't heard of asdfjkl; sad. But Flirting in Italian has been on my TBR list tentatively for a while - I'll be really excited to hear what you think of it :)

  12. After you read Twenty Boy Summer read Bittersweet. It will make you crave cupcakes like nobody's business, but they add something to the reading experience. I'm also right there with you and anything Kasie West. Pivot Point made her and autobuy author for me.
