I feel like the character growth of both Cress and Thorne happens way too fast to be believable or enjoyable, just to make the romance happen. Like, maybe he could have grown into what she thought he was, but he just sort of switches, like she has this magic understanding of people. And she immediately stops being the messed up girl who talked to the child version of her self for years and becomes totally normal without social issues. Like WHAT? Argh.

I loved everything else, but the romance was a serious thorne in my side. (BAHAHAHAHA, I REGRET NOTHING)Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00370486039531015541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734740821043177646.post-20636094164198609232014-02-02T10:07:17.568+00:002014-02-02T10:07:17.568+00:00Because Scarlet (the character) is epic and she is...Because Scarlet (the character) is epic and she is made of win. I mostly ignored Wolf's presence. I really don't like Kai though :( I don't even know why, I just feel like we hardly know him. Winter is going to be soooooo much fun.Amber (Books of Amber)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01750403330691361583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734740821043177646.post-83068750302911089442014-02-02T10:03:15.618+00:002014-02-02T10:03:15.618+00:00Haha, that's very true, we know so little abou...Haha, that's very true, we know so little about Wolf. I think if we had a more in-depth backstory then I would perhaps feel more sympathy for him, but at the moment I just think he's an ass.

Yes! I would love that kind of storyline for Thorne. It would remind me of Emma and Hook from Once Upon a Time. Cress (or Cinder, you know, I'm happy with that too), with the person being too preoccupied with her own issues and storyline to notice anything right away. Jumping right in doesn't even begin to cover it!

It is indeed Snow White :D A very interesting take on it too, judging by the end of Cress.Amber (Books of Amber)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01750403330691361583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734740821043177646.post-60092085342794519182014-02-01T15:25:00.166+00:002014-02-01T15:25:00.166+00:00When I think back about Scarlet, I don't remem...When I think back about Scarlet, I don't remember why I liked it that much, because I don't like Wolf at all. He was just terrible in this book ugh. I really do like Cinder and Thorne together but Cinder and Kai ;___; I also love Cress and Thorne because they were so protective of each other, though I can see why Cress needs to learn to live without him as well. But I loved her, and I like that she was so different from Cinder and Scarlet, who are so similar to me. And Winter is batshit crazy and I love it. She will be fabulous.Judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10169574717441851611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734740821043177646.post-46705804890665166492014-02-01T00:21:24.067+00:002014-02-01T00:21:24.067+00:00I loved Wolf in Scarlet, until I started to think ...I loved Wolf in Scarlet, until I started to think about him. And then I realized, I really don't know much about him! Sounds like that doesn't improve much in Cress, haha.

It's disappointing to hear that Cress' character development suffers at the expense of a romance; I would love for Thorne to be so attracted to someone that he would continue to be interested in them, even if they were too busy or too naive to notice his affections. I was hoping that would be the case with Cress, but it sounds like she jumps right in!

Is Winter Snow White? I keep trying to figure out what other fairy tale Meyer is incorporating, hahaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734740821043177646.post-8866809374697682202014-01-31T07:25:57.196+00:002014-01-31T07:25:57.196+00:00I can't wait to read this!! :-DI can't wait to read this!! :-Dlaurafergshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09053315501333745682noreply@blogger.com
