I am not currently accepting review requests

In June I started working full time, and I am still settling into a routine in which I can balance my work, my reading, my blogging, and my Booktubing. Unfortunately, this meant that some things had to be cut down, and one of those things are the amount of review copies I take on. So, I will not be accepting books for review unless I specifically request them myself, either from NetGalley or Edelweiss, or from publicists.

Review Policy:
Review requests can be sent to amber@booksofamber.com Please do NOT tweet me or comment on my blog if you are requesting for me to review your book. I will only respond to review requests sent to the email address above.

My reviews are always 100% honest. I will not be influenced by any factor outside of the novel I am reviewing. My reviews are a (somewhat rambling) summary of my own personal thoughts and feelings about the novel.

I do not accept monetary payment for any book I review, or any post that I post on Books of Amber.

I accept:
- Young Adult novels of any genre
- Middle Grade novels, including horror, science fiction, and fantasy.

I do not accept (subject to change):
- Adult novels
- Non-fiction
- Biographies and memoirs
- Christian fiction
- Poetry
- eBooks

I post all of my reviews on Amazon UK and Goodreads as well as on this blog. I occasionally also post them on Shelfari. I also record and upload some video reviews to Youtube, as part of the Booktube community, however the rate at which I upload videos is irregular and sporadic at this time.

Accepting a book for review does not guarantee a review given the time restraints I am currently under. I will, however, promote the book through a book haul post and/or Youtube video. Novels that I request take precedence over all other titles.

I cannot promise a precise time frame in which I will post my reviews. If I receive an ARC then I will do my best to review it in the month surrounding its release, however this is not always possible.

I do not mind if you send me a copy of your book before I accept it, but please be aware that this does NOT guarantee that I will read and review it.

Rating System:
All Time Favourite - These books are the best of the best and have earned a special place on my shelf.
Essential - This is a book I think every book lover should read and own.
Enjoyable- I enjoyed this and would recommend it to some readers. It wasn't a favourite read but it was fun.
Hodgepodge - I have no idea how I feel. My emotions and thoughts are all over the place, much like the book.
Bland - I found this book boring. I didn't enjoy it, and wouldn't recommend it to other readers.
Troll - A rubbish book, to put it bluntly, with no redeeming qualities. I took the "Troll" grade form Harry Potter, because every book deserves a Harry Potter reference.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review policy! It is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions feel free to send me an email.
Please note: If it is clear to me that you haven't read my review policy before contacting me, it is unlikely that I will reply.

Privacy Policy:
If there is a giveaway on Books of Amber, then it is likely that I will need some personal details from the winner and the other people who are participating. But mostly the winner.

To enter a giveaway, I will need your email address in order to contact you in the event that you win.

I will not sell your personal information to others. The only time I will pass on the information is if a publisher or author is providing the prize, and needs to know where to send it. You will be informed of this on the giveaway post, and when I contact you to let you know you've won.

FTC Disclaimer:
For full disclosure and all that jazz...

I receive free books for reviewing purposes. I read them, see if I like them, and then I write and post a 100% honest review in which I make my feelings on the book clear. I do not accept monetary payment for any of my reviews. I state in my review how I received the book, whether it's been bought by me, gifted, sent to review, or otherwise. Books received in exchange for an honest review are shown to be sent by the publisher or author.

I am also an Amazon Associate. This means that I sometimes (when I remember) link a book to Amazon UK, and if you click through and buy it then I will receive a small percentage of the payment. This does not cost you anything extra at all, since the money comes from Amazon.
