Top Thirteen Books I Read In 2013

Top Thirteen Books I Read in 2013
I read a bunch of fantastic books in 2013. In fact, I think this is my best year yet, if you take into account the volume of tears I cried. Because that's how I know I loved a book, you guys. I couldn't stop at just ten books, so I went with thirteen. And even that proved difficult but I didn't want to mess this up. So, in no particular order, here are my favourite books of the year. If you click on the book title, it will take you to my review of the book. Feel free to link up your posts in the comments!

10. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

  1. What is "Here Without You"???? I didn't know Tammara Webber had another book out--maybe I just missed it? Anyway, I have to go check that out now! Great list :)

  2. Tiger Lily, If you find me and Scarlet are the best. The last two made it in my top 15 books of this year too :) I really want to get started in Pivot Point and I promised you I will be reading How to kill a mockingbird a while ago and I will! Going to be part of a reading challenge.

  4. I haven't read any of the books from your list but I've read The Knife of Never Letting Go and it is on my all-time favourites list so I'm really looking forward to getting to read The Ask and the Answer in 2014

  5. Scarlet and To Kill a Mockingbird made it on my list too! I haven't read any of the others, so I definitely need to check them out. I need to start on Patrick Ness soon and The Song of Achilles looks like something I'd love.

    1. Cress was soooo good, but not as amazing as Scarlet. Probably because I don't have a giant girlcrush on the main character XD

  8. THE ASK AND THE ANSWER.
How amazing is it that the second book in a series is SO DAMN GOOD?!
Oh all the tears these books will pull out of your face.

  9. !!!

The Song of Achilles! This made my list this year too. Oh, Patroclus! (I just went and read your review, and I agree... I don't know how anyone could be coherent after that ending.)

  10. It's so nice to see To Kill A Mockingbird on your list. I loved that book in high school, and keep meaning to re-read it. I did books published in 2013 for my list (since I also wrote a 2013 roundup post and didn't want to be repetitive), otherwise Eleanor & Park would have been on my list for sure. I'm looking forward to checking out Altered and Pivot Point - I've heard so much about both of them! Also you have just added a ton of new books to my list. Which is always a good sign!

  11. 13! Love it. So happy to see If You Find Me, and E&P on your list. I haven't read that Tammara Webber book, but I loved Easy so I'll have to look for it. Pivot Point is another one I've heard good things about.
Thanks for sharing your favorites! Happy new year and happy reading :)

  15. I need to read so many of these! One I've been putting off for a while is Unraveling!! I'm happy to see Unbreakable on here-- that means it must be a good series! Eeeep... Altered!!! I am so ready for Erased! Only a week away!!! I'm nervous about the Tammara Webber book! I liked her writing-- but didn't really like some things about Easy (if that makes any sense? haha) so haven't read anything else by her. What do you think? Should I give it a shot?

    1. UNBREAKABLE IS THE BESTEST. Erased is coming out so sooooon. It makes perfect sense! That happens to me all the time. I haven't read Easy, so I don't know, but Between the Lines is a brilliant series that starts out as just "Great" and then the fourth book is skdfhnshfh. AMAZING. Do it!

  17. Lol this is embarrassing, but I'm still (technically, since I lent it to a friend) reading Tiger Lily, two weeks later *blushes*. Jenny Han and Patrick Ness are some of the authors I'm looking forward to reading this year :)

Looks like you've had a great year, Amber! Happy New Year! <3
