Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday

How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?

Over a normal week - meaning, when I'm not revising for exams - I usually read two to three books. As I have more hard copies of books to review, I tend to read those first and then I read the e-books that I need to review. I don't really listen to audio books, but I did get the whole Harry Potter series for my iPod - ready for my holiday!

What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked?  Which have you disliked?
I really liked Fight Club, and I thought My Sister's Keeper was a good movie too. Although I haven't read either of the books. Oh! And the movie adaptation of Cirque du Freak - The Vampire's Assistant. It was okay enough for me to like it. As for what I didn't like, well, there probably aren't that many as I don't tend to compare books and movies. I can't, otherwise I get frustrated! Although, I really REALLY dislike the Twilight movies. I can't stand the acting. My ex-boyfriend was obsessed with Twilight and New Moon, as so he used to make me watch them with him all the time. And then I watched Eclipse with my friend. I will not be paying to see Breaking Dawn.

  2. It's nice to see someone who agrees with me about the Twilight movies! I don't really care for most of the actors in it. I don't think they portrayed the characters that well at all. With the exception of Alice pretty much!

  4. TRR - I completely agree. I'm not a huge fan of the books, but the characters were a lot better than they are in the movie. The movie probably made me lose interest in the books even more, to be honest.

Tee - Haha, I know! Hi! Thank you for following. I'll be over to check out your blog shortly!

  5. I really liked The Vampire's Assistant, I thought it was really good! And I love that your ex loved the Twilight movies and you didn't, that definitely made me lol. I just wasn't a fan of the first Twilight movie even though I watched it three times lol. I hope you have a wonderful Friday! New follower ;)

  8. Let’s kick off Memorial Day Weekend with some scandal and controversy.

I absolutely loved every minute of the Lord of the Rings films and felt they hit the mark when they brought Tolkien’s masterpiece to the big screen.
(ducking as rotten tomatoes are thrown at me as the torches are lit and the pitchforks raised)

Wait, wait. I can explain! Hop on over to my blog and hear me out – http://www.howardsherman.net

  10. Hi there, Thanks for stopping by my blog from last week's Hop : )

I never read Fight Club, but I loved the movie. I saw Twilight, but didn't like it. However, I didn't like the book either.

  11. I'm not much of a movie person. I meant to see The Vampire's Assistant, but I never got around to it.

I'm trying to read 150 books this year, so I've got to keep up with reading 3 or more books a week. It's so easy to check out more from the library than I ever have a hope of finishing. lol.
