The Outdo Yourself Challenge

This challenge is hosted by The Book Vixen. The goal is to read more books in 2011 than you did in 2010. Very simple. Last year in 2010 I read 49 books. This year, I'm aiming for 55. That's not to say that I won't read more, but I'm aiming low because I'm a full time student so I have a lot of work to do! Just over one book a week seems reasonable, right? *fingers crossed*

Levels:

Getting my heart rate up – Read 1–5 more books
Out of breath – Read 6–10 more books
Breaking a sweat – Read 11–15 more books
I’m on fire! – Read 16+ more books

Off The Shelf Challenge

Another challenge hosted by Dutchie at BA Reading Challenges. For this challenge, you can only read books that you already owned prior to 2011 - so new books don't count! I thought this was a brilliant way to (potentially) bring down my TBR pile.

I've chosen to participate in the Trying (15 books) level, as I have plenty of YA books on my shelf, but I think 30 would be too much. This could always change though, so we'll see!

Read:
- Inside Out by Maria V Snyder
- Alpha by Rachel Vincent
- Wereworld: Rise of Wolf by Curtis Jobling

Current Total: 3

This challenge will begin on January 1st, 2011 and end on December 31st, 2011.

2. Trying - Choose 15 books to read
3. Making a Dint - Choose 30 books to read
4. On a Roll - Choose 50 books to read
5. Flying Off - Choose 75 books to read

For extra hard challenges
1. Hoarder - Choose 76-125 books to read
2. Buried - Choose 126-200 books to read

The Dystopia Challenge

This challenge is hosted by Dutchie at BA Reading Challenges. It's pretty simple, all you have to do is read as many dystopian novels - YA or adult - as you can before the year is up.

I've decided to start at the Contagion (15 books) level, but I expect I will read more. I just didn't want to set my level too high, just in case!

- Inside Out by Maria V Snyder
- Outside In by Maria V Snyder
