Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday

Book Blogger Hop

This week's question:
"What book are you most looking forward to seeing published in 2011?  Why are you anticipating that book?"

My Answer:
This question was quite an easy one for me! Which is surprising, because usually I have to sit and ponder over these Hop questions. I picked City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. This is probably going to be a popular one, but I had to answer honestly didn't I? I've been waiting for this book to come out ever since Cassandra Clare announced that she's writing three more books in the TMI series. Now I just can't wait to see some more Jace! Ehem, of course, I want to see more of Clary and Simon too... *shifty eyes*

This week's question:

What is/was your favorite subject in school?

Hmm.. this one is slightly harder! At the moment, I'm only studying ICT, which I quite enjoy. When I was doing my GCSEs, my favourite subject would probably have been history or English. But we had rubbish teachers, and so I didn't really feel into it at the time. Now I miss them!
I wish I had a better Spanish teacher, because I am in love with that language, but my teacher was horrific. But now I'm teaching myself, and my great aunt (who lives in Mallorca) is helping me. I love it!

  1. I've been on your blog for a total of one minute and I already LOVE YOU! Hello Dean Winchester, you're looking deliciously sexy today :) Haha. Nice Jensen eye-candy when I'm going to bed shortly ;)

No-one throw books at me, but I'm not the 'biggest' fan of the TMI books. HOWEVER! I do like them and will definitely be checking out COFA! Quite excited for the movie too :D

Totally with you on having bad teachers. Had a few in my time and they turned some great subjects into not so great ones :/ Good luck with your Spanish!

  2. *Throws books* Okay, no. Just kidding! :D I'm excited for the movie. I really hope they don't muck it up.

Haha, Dean does attract a lot of people. I keep him there for the eye-candy ;D And thanks!

Thank you :) Urgh, I could go on all day about bad teachers. I honestly can't think of one decent A Level teacher in my school. I'm surprised they are qualified. Anyway, it's Friday, so I shan't rant! Have a great weekend!

  3. *chucks a book at Brodie* Sorry, reflex reaction! :) I really can't wait for COFA either! I am totally feeling the Jace love, and I'm not ashamed of it! My gosh, I'm using a lot of exclamation points! I guess that's just what this series does to me: reduces me to a babbling pile of fangirl.
So yeah, loving your blog so far, Amber! I'm a new follower hopping over from FF. Looking forward to getting to know you better :)

  4. That sucks about your teachers; I know I enjoyed some of my subjects mostly because I had a great teacher.

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog ^_^. You may feel left out because you haven't read any Kelley Armstrong but I'll let you know I haven't read any Cassandra Clare yet. Clockwork Angel is on my TBR though so this will be remedied soon.

  8. Man, that cover for the next MI book is gorgeous. Even shows a little glimse of a face this time! ^_^

Not gonna lie...I had to look up what ICT meant. ^_^ I'm used to IT, but don't believe I'd ever seen the longer acronym before. (Eek. I'm so not with it, it seems!) That's really cool that you dig both the tech and humanities. And that yer learning Spanish! ^_^

  9. Happy Friday, Amber!

I think I'm most looking forward to either Anna Dressed in Blood or The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer this year...because of the covers AND the premises!

My favourite subject in school was definitely French :)

  10. That's awesome that you have a great aunt to help you with Spanish! Ironically, my great aunt is from Ecuador, though I've never spoken with her in Spanish. You'd think I'd take advantage of that though...lol.

    Have a great weekend!

CoFA is up there on my list as well, but I have to admit that Cassie's Clockwork Prince is up there higher for me. I really fell in love with that series.

  14. City of Fallen Angels is the chose too! I can't wait for the book! Or movie! I hope they'll do a good job with it.

I know the feeling of bad teaching. Most of my high school teachers were like that.

  21. Despite me not being a fan of Cassandra Claire;s previous works, i looking forward to that book to. It sounds...different, intriguing

  22. What's ICT?
My favorite subject was Art... and Theatre... and English. I've very right-brained, I guess.

Everyone is so looking forward to the newest in The Mortal Instruments series. I read the first two and I just couldn't get into them. Jace seemed so overbearing and unpleasant to me! I have trouble picturing him as a dreamboat since he's covered in scars and so surly all the time. Also! Incest! Gross! To each his or her own, I suppose.

I put together a list of books I'm looking forward to about a week ago.

MY favorite subject last year was history, but that was only because I had an awesome teacher.
