Rating System

Since I've changed the name of my blog, I thought I should change my rating system back to the simple Star System. Maybe I'll think of something creative, but anything I think of at the moment which would fit with my blog name, it terribly confusing!

Anyway, here's an updated description of my rating system.

Five Stars - I loved the book. Highly recommend it. What are you waiting for? Go buy it! Everything from the plot to the sentence structure is amazing.

Four Stars - I really, really enjoyed this book. It's not my favourite book in the world, but it's close. You should definitely check it out! The plot, characters and writing are brilliant.

Three Stars - I liked this book. I think you should buy it/borrow it and perhaps you'll like it too. Has a decent plot and/or characters and/or writing style.

Two Stars- This book just wasn't for me. Others may like it, I think you should look at other reviews before making up your mind. However, for me, something about it was lacking, whether it be the plot, characters or writing style. I didn't enjoy it, and do not recommend it to others like me.

One Star - I am unlikely to give a one coconut rating very often. However, if I do, it would most likely be for a book that I struggled to finish or just simply did not like at all for a variety of reasons.

Phew. So, with all that said and done, I hope you like the rating system. I've tried to be as fair (and polite, of course) as possible, whilst still getting my point across.

Happy reading everyone, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

  3. Really :) it is so inventive. I completely agree about the star rating but unfortunately I don't have the creativity to come up with anything else :P

  4. Hey that's how I started out! 1-5 stars. Then I figured I had to bring in my blog name. Since I'm super creative (I know, I know, please autographs later!), I just changed it to 1-5 Rarrs. Hahaha. It sounded much cooler and awesome when I first thought it up.

  5. Yay for the coconuts. That sounds like fun.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Sorry you haven't found a copy of Nightshade yet. I bet you have a lot of cool books in England that you get to read first though. I'm excited to see what you read.

  6. Peep - Rarrs? Well, it's safe to say I have never heard that kind of rating system before. Ten awesome points for originality! :D

Jessie - Thanks for visiting and following mine too! We do get lots of awesome books here, but I tend to prefer the US covers. That's one of the main causes of my jealousy, haha. The changes in the covers are often subtle, but they make a difference :)
