As expected, November was a busy month for me, with three birthdays in the family, the build up to Christmas, and a whole bunch of family drama. I expect December to be even busier, so I do wonder how my reading is going to go. My plan for the first week of December is to get all my December posts written so that I don't have to worry about those, and to get cracking with my January ones.
Also in November, I went to see Catching Fire, and I'm going again tonight. SUCH a good film, you guys! It reawakened my love for Finnick, and Finnick/Katniss. I don't even care, they should have been endgame.
Here's what I read in November:
1. 3:59 by Gretchen McNeil
2. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
3. Crash Into You by Katie McGarry
4. Crown of Shadows by Joe Hill
5. The Diviners by Libba Bray
6. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
7. The Promise of Amazing by Robin Constantine
8. The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead
9. Taste of Darkness by Maria V Snyder
Yeah, so I was one off on my goal, but it's still only the afternoon here in England. Maybe I can finish A Storm of Swords before I go to the cinema? Maybe!
Thanks, Judith, for ruining my life with this present. And thanks, Tatum, for not warning me about it and for undoubtedly laughing at my pain.
As for what I'm planning on reading in December, well, there's a lot. I'm visiting my family in Germany next week, and I have another four days off work over Christmas, so I think I should be able to get a bunch of reading done! *crosses fingers*
1. A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin
Because Lannisters.
2. Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness
Because Tatum and Daph want me to break down over the Spackle.
3. More Than This by Patrick Ness
Because Judith.
4. No One Else Can Have You by Kathleen Hale
Because murder mystery.
5. Avalon by Mindee Arnett
Because space and mercenaries and sci-fi goodness.
6. Fugitive X by Gregg Rosenblum
Because I'm curious.
7. Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd
Because more murder
8. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
Because I literally JUST realised that there's a rose on the cover.
9. Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi
Because Roar.
10. Uninvited by Sophie Jordan
Because apparently it's good?
11. Bitten by Kelley Armstrong
Because Lauren and Tatum are making me read it.
More than this is strange! And Cruel beauty & Her dark curiosity are also on my list :) Happy reading and have fun visiting your family!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy visiting your family in Germany, I'm so jealous! It's a country I've always wanted to visit and I bet it looks amazing at Christmas! Anyway travelling always gives you a good excuse to get in some extra reading time, especially in the run up to Christmas, because there's not much else you can do! Hope you have a great reading month!
ReplyDeleteI also have No One Else Can Have You, Cruel Beauty and Avalon on my to-read but I guess I'll read them in January. I need epic reads this month and finish 2013 with a reading bang (first up is The Raven Boys, woot).
ReplyDeleteGaaah, The Knife of Never Letting Go is just- can't even with it.
Sooo have fun in Germany aka The Netherlands ha ha and good luck with tons of reading. ;)
I am so pleased your book of the month is Eleanor and Park as I am getting it for Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Eleanor and Park! There will never be sufficient warning for all the feels in that book.
ReplyDeleteBOOK OF THE MONTH YASSSSSSSSSSSS
