Last week I asked Twitter if there were any readathons coming up any time in the near future. The response: *crickets*. I noticed that some other people were craving a readathon too, so I decided to go ahead and host my own.
A huge thank you is in order to Audris, who helped spur me on and sort out the dates that this readathon would be happening. Also Rose, for also helping with dates and for coming up with the hashtag, Tatum and Lauren for their input and encouragement, and Judith for coming up with an epic hashtag (#novamberthon), even though I won't use it because it would make me sound really bloody arrogant.
So, anyway, on with the details. The readathon is a very spur of the moment thing, so it's coming up fast, and I won't be hosting any challenges or giveaways or anything like that. I don't have time to plan that stuff in less than a week, so we're going to stick with good ol' reading, which is what we're here for, right?
Start: November 24, 2013 at midnight
End: December 1, 2013 at midnight
Rules: There are no rules.
What will I be reading? Well, I'm not really sure, since I don't know how many books I'm going to finish before Sunday. But here's a quick list, that I'll probably change several times before the readathon starts:
- Taste of Darkness by Maria V. Snyder
- Just One Day by Gayle Foreman
- The Angel Experiment by James Patterson
- No One Else Can Have You by Kathleen Hale
- A Storm of Swords Part 2 by George R. R. Martin
- Avalon by Mindee Arnett
Go ahead and leave your sign up tweet/post/video in the linky below if you want. You don't have to officially sign up, I just like looking at other people's posts to see what they're planning on reading! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

Haha, awesome! I actually decided to do an impromptu 24-hour readathon on Saturday (post announcing it going up tomorrow!), so I'll just start this read a thon early and then continue :D
ReplyDeleteMy reading goals for the week are at the bottom of my wrap-up post since I didn't know where else to put them haha *so out of it*
DeleteI'll see if I have time to join in! But I probably will decide that once it starts :p
ReplyDeleteI could definitely join this. Need to tackle that massive tbr, especially now that uni is over for the year.
ReplyDeleteAlise (of Readers in Wonderland) and I are planning another readathon (that is not limited to books) called Catch-Up-athon that we're hoping to go ahead with next month, we've just been too busy with study to figure out actual dates yet. But SOON
I need to clear up my tbr definitely signing up! Also co-hosting one next month http://danasquare.blogspot.com/2013/11/end-of-year-2013-readingcram-sign-up.html

ReplyDeleteI have been voluntold, so yeah, I guess I'm in.
ReplyDeleteDoing it. No idea what I'm reading yet though, but I figure Tatum or Amber will tell me.
ReplyDeleteYay! As I said on Twitter, I am so in! Hopefully I'll get my sign up post up soon :)
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited for this :) I already have some books in mind and plan on having my post up tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteThis is great. I really, really need a read-a-thon right now. I'll put up a post about this this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteDone. I have no clue if I can get the remainder of my required books in by the 1st, but that's okay! Good luck to all :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in too :-) Not sure what books I'll read yet though...
ReplyDeleteHuzzah, a reason to do nothing except read this week = amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm signing up! Thanks for doing this. I want to host one soon too. Just not sure how to go about it. Share what thought you put into it please?
