Weekly Wrap Up (01.05.13 - 12.05.13)

This week has been one of the most hectic weeks of my life. Lawd, it was awful. And also great. I went to a job interview, which I wasn't expecting at all, and I'm waiting to hear back from them to see if I can have a second interview. Wish me luck!

I didn't get much reading done, and I barely commented on any blogs, so I'm sorry about that! I'm desperately trying to catch up with my reading because I have a couple of reviews due next week, and then there's also the Bout of Books read-a-thon starting tomorrow. Is anyone else taking part in that? I am very excited for it!

Anyway, on with the reviews and things from the start of May up until now. Because if I just post the stuff from this past week then it'll be embarrassing.

There's also our April Wrap Up, and I posted about some April/May YA debuts. I love doing the Showcase posts! I even have a week-long event coming up at the end of June so I can talk about the awesome debuts I've read this year. There'll be a read-a-thon to go along with it, so stay tuned!

14 April 2013

Weekly Wrap Up (08.04.13 - 14.04.13)

This week was not a great reading week, but it was a great week on the blog and in general. Did anyone watch the Spartacus finale? I am broken. So broken. It's like my world has come to an end. Dramatic much? I just really love that show, and I'm so sad that it wasn't given more seasons. The finale was AMAZING though.

I also posted a sneak peek of Boy Nobody by Allen Zadoff, a book that I'm really looking forward to reading this coming week!

And, as always, I posted about this week's new releases. Check it out to see which books you may have missed!

How did your week go? Did you get lots of reading done?

07 April 2013

Weekly Wrap Up (01.04.13 - 07.04.13)

I haven't done a weekly wrap up post in a while, but I am back into the swing of things after Veronica Mars threw me off target. I'm currently just under week ahead with my post scheduling, and I'm hoping to get even further ahead this coming week so I can relax and take a breather.

Reviews:

I posted my April Debut Showcase in which I talk about past debuts I have read and reviewed, as well as feature three April debuts that I am looking forward to.

There is also the New Releases post, where you can check out some of the YA books that came out this week. Stay tuned for another post tomorrow!

I wrapped up my March reading, which didn't go as well as I had hoped, but I still got a good few books read.

And last but certainly not least, I finally posted about a new site that I am running with three lovely ladies - Recaptains!

Coming up next week, I have reviews of The Collector and Taken and more, a giveaway, and Tatum is reviewing Beautiful Creatures.

I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend!

Weekly Wrap Up (10.03.13 - 16.03.13)

I've decided to start doing a weekly wrap up post to round up the posts and reviews I post each week. Hopefully this will give the people that have missed posts an easy way to catch up!

Reviews:

I posted about this week's new YA releases like I do every Monday (come back tomorrow to see next week's!), and Reviewer X posted their review of The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart. According to X, this book is AMAZING and everyone should read it. I was definitely convinced to add it to my TBR!

Coming up next week are more reviews, what I'm planning on reading this spring, and I am also introducing a new guest blogger! Exciting stuff!

17 February 2013

Weekly Wrap Up (10.02.13 - 16.02.13)

I've decided to start doing a weekly wrap up post to round up the posts and reviews I post each week. Hopefully this will give the people that have missed posts an easy way to catch up!

Reviews:

You can see the new releases for this week here. Which ones did you end up buying? Which do you plan on buying?

I also posted my stop on the Override blog tour. Heather Anastasiu talks about what makes a great love interest, and the importance of chemistry, and the characters complimenting each other. She also mentions Jack and Rose, which may or may not have made me burst into tears.

Coming up next week I have more reviews, more new releases, and a giveaway!

10 February 2013

Weekly Wrap Up (03.02.13 - 09.02.13) and Stacking the Shelves (10)

I've decided to start doing a weekly wrap up post to round up the posts and reviews I post each week. Hopefully this will give the people that have missed posts an easy way to catch up!

Reviews:

Reviewer X, an anonymous guest reviewer, reviewed the historical fiction novel, The Pillars of the Earth. X highly recommends it!

You can also check out which YA books came out this week here in my New Releases post.

03 February 2013

Weekly Wrap Up (21.01.13 - 02.02.13)

I've decided to start doing a weekly wrap up post to round up the posts and reviews I post each week. Hopefully this will give the people that have missed posts an easy way to catch up! I missed last week's wrap up due to having no internet connection, so I'll include the posts I missed as well.

Reviews:

As for any extra posts, my 2013 Debut Showcase for February went up this week! You should definitely check it out, and let me know if you have read any of the January debuts, or if you're planning on reading any of the February ones. I'm so excited for this month! I also wrote up a January wrap up post, in which you can see what my Book of the Month was. Anyone who has been paying attention to my Twitter feed will be able to guess which book I chose!

I'll be doing a giant book haul next week, I just didn't have time this weekend since I've been trying to catch up with posts after falling behind *shakes fist at the faulty internet connection*

20 January 2013

Weekly Wrap Up (14.01.13 - 20.01.13)

I've decided to start doing a weekly wrap up post to round up the posts and reviews I post each week. Hopefully this will give the people that have missed posts an easy way to catch up!

Reviews:

I also participated in Top Ten Tuesday, in which I talk about my most anticipated debuts for 2013.

This week was an excellent week for me. I read three books and started a fourth, and I got a lot of things done in general. I still have lots of reviews to write, though! Next week I've got lots of new reviews as well as a giveaway coming up, so I'm looking forward to it!

How was your week? Did you get much reading done? Let me know!

13 January 2013

Weekly Wrap Up (07.01.13 - 13.01.13) and Stacking the Shelves (9)

I've decided to start doing a weekly wrap up post to round up the posts and reviews I post each week. Hopefully this will give the people that have missed posts an easy way to catch up!

Reviews:

In addition to my own reviews, I have also taken on a guest reviewer. The catch is, they wish to stay anonymous. So starting this year, and lasting for however long they want to keep their details to themselves, Reviewer X will be posting reviews on my blog. X reads books from all sorts of different genres, so you can expect a very eclectic set of reviews that are very different from my own.

Here is X's first review on Life of Pi by Yann Martel.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.
Bought
I read all of these back in December, but I had them on my Kindle. Since I loved them so much I just HAD to spend more money and buy them in paperback.
For Review
EEP! This is the sequel/companion to Pushing the Limits which I ADORED. So excited to read this! And look at that cover *__*
This is the first episode in a serial, which is set in the 1920's. I think it sounds great!
The two books above were sent to be unsolicited, so I don't know when I'm going to get to them, but they sound AWESOME!
I received Override because I'm going to be part of the blog tour in February! I loved the first book, so I'm excited!
I have been waiting for this book for so long!
And this one! Excited!

06 January 2013

Weekly Wrap Up (31.12.12 - 06.01.13) and Stacking the Shelves (8)

I've decided to start doing a weekly wrap up post to round up the posts and reviews I post each week. Hopefully this will give the people that have missed posts an easy way to catch up!

Reviews:

I also introduced one of the new features that will be happening on my blog during 2013, the 2013 Debut Showcase.
The purpose of this feature is to show you guys which YA debuts I'm most looking forward to, and which ones I've enjoyed. Hopefully it'll also help build some buzz around some of these debuts. There will be one post at the beginning of each month showing the top three upcoming debuts I'm most looking forward to and excited for, and it will also wrap up the previous month by showing which debuts I read and enjoyed.
